Hi Miki

Congratulations!!
I really want to go there.
I applied in November and received only the " we have received your material mail".
Did you get a COMPLETE mail from them?

I have applied at the end of October and yesterday I just received an email saying that they hoped I would choose Duke for LL.M. and that the official admission letter would follow shortly.

Anyhow, today I was already contacted by three Duke's alumni: seems to me that they are well organised!

To Mikifromitaly
Congratulations!

To Aooni
I received the same "receipt letter" from Duke on Nov. 9 but
I've never heard from them after that notice.
Guess we have to wait for a little while.

Dear Miki,

I also got the acceptance last week.

Is your deadline for deposition also January 20?

Do you plan to go to Duke?

Thank You.

To Annoi and Pinklemon,

Don't worried about it. It's now still in the early decision process.

You guys still have great chances to be admitted.

Hope to meet you guys in Duke in next fall.

Best,

To Pinklemon

Sorry that I really forget the specific date I completed my application, especially for a school that has no on-line application process.

I just remembered it was quite early. I supposed I applied in the late October or early November.

Anyway, in the admission letter the school mentioned that now it's only the early decision process. I believe they haven't reviewed most of the applications. So don't worry about it.

Thanks :)

Hi VincentKao: congratulations! I am seriously thinking of accepting @DUKE.
I spoke to some Italian alumni, they all work for top tier Italian / International law firms and strongly reccomended the program.
As to deadline, in my letter they expect an answer by the end of January.

Pinklemon: also in my admission letter they mention that now it is only the early decision process, so there is nothing to worry about.

Cheers!

I didn't know Duke had early applications.
I guess I'll have to wait until next year since I applied later.

Hi everyone! I'm still waiting to hear from DUKE. I hope I will be admitted as I've heard that the LL.M. is fantastic: small, great faculty and many job possibilities in the U.S. afterwards.

Hi Miki, Here is some info about lawyrs.net: www.llm-guide.com/board/35189/
mashable.com/2007/09/18/lawyrs/

Basically, it's a social community like XING or facebook, but just for lawyers.

Congrats on the offers from Duke! i've yet to hear any news, but keeping my fingers crossed as I really really wanna go there!
One of my professors here in UK went to Duke; he's told me fantastic stuff about this law school.
Good luck to others who are awaiting decisions as well!

It's a dream coming true!
I received yesterday the e-mail from DUKE informing my admission! It is not mentioned anything about the deadline for deposition...Can anyone guess what happened? In any case, I will send them a mail asking. For all applicants eager to know my folder was completed by mid-November (NO early review)!
I wish the best of luck to all of you!!
