Are you talking about NYU? I know NYU's tax program is outstanding. Unfortunately, I don't know much about New York Law School.

I jut graduated with the first LL.M class in May, '05. There are five full time instructors who are excellent plus several adjuncts (some of whom also teach at NYU) who are for the most part equally capable. I found the Tax Law curiculum to be challenging and worthwhile. The only drawback - since the program is new and small - they had to cancel offerings in several instances where not enough people signed up.

Congrats to completing your LLM!Mon Sep 05, 2005 10:24 PM Have you had any positive feedback from employers now that you've added the Tax LLM to your resume? Have you been looking in the NY and surrounding markets? I was on journal, moot court, clinic, and I was in VITA in law school. I was thinking that I should work for 1-3 years and then go for this Tax LLM because my grades aren't that great. Does the acceptance ride primarily on grades or do you think my overall law school application will be taken into consideration? If its all grades, will working in the field help my application into NYLS? Thanks and congrats!!! |
