Thesis!
I am having troubling filling out the application of the U of T... they say u have to write a minor thesis even in the coursework intensive LLM... all this is fine and i can write a thesis once I start the degree... but how can I, at this point of time, write a 1 pager on which topic i want to write my thesis on and why... can anyone help?

Hi there,Mon Dec 31, 2007 12:13 PM Perhaps you could have a look through the assignments you have done in your law degree and see if any of them interests you. You might be able to derive a thesis proposal based on that. I would think that this would be a preliminary draft and you could always revamp or reformulate what you have submitted during your application. I guess it all depends on what U of T wants it for - they might want to see if your research interests is aligned with theirs? Alternatively, you can have a look at your course notes from your basic law degree and see if there are any controversial areas you want to look into. I am sure you would be able to get something done! Regards Greg |

thanks a bunch for your reply... it helpmed me somewhat... but now im not even sure if im applying to U of T since i found out that getting a license to practise law in Canada is a major pain...Wed Jan 02, 2008 08:37 AM but i was wondering if anyone could tell me what future do i have... if i dont have a license to practise but instead go into corporate law and commercial agreements because this is my real field of interest and i do this thing in Pakistan as well without actually ever going to court.... HELP PLEASE! |
