Hello,

LSE has had my application since 12 November, and i'm still waiting...

Has anyone heard back from LSE?

I have offers from UCL and King's and need to accept one soon...

Thanks

Hi Capa,

I would call them if I were you. It seems like a long wait. LSE usually makes decisions within 8 weeks.

Hi,

I intend to apply to LSE but I have a little difficulty in filling out the application sheet. I know my question does not really fit here, but since some of you got already positive answers from LSE you might help me. How extensive were your personal statements?
And does anyone have an idea what to fill in hear :"Degree type and class/grade of degree in the standard format of your degree eg Economics BA (Hons) 2:1; GPA 3.7/4.0; A+; 90%; or 1.5/5.0" if I have a German first state exam?

Thanks very much for your help!

Thumy,
My personal statement was 1200 words. As for the degree type, I really have no idea where your german first state would fall.
Best,

Thanks.

I gave LSE a call, and they're on it. I guess I just need to wait.

Did anyone apply on or after 12 November and get an offer/rejection/waiting list?

I applied November 29th and I'm still waiting. my guess is - because our '8 weeks' takes in the christmas vacation period, we might have to wait a little longer than applicants who don't get caught in a holiday period.

I'm glad you phoned them - I just think we have to sit tight. Good luck.

Hi .... today my application status reads:
A decision has been made on this choice and is being processed. Processing involves checking by a senior member of staff, and occasionally verification of one or more details by your Department. Most decisions will be finalised and appear here within one or two working days (remember to allow for weekends!), however if we require clarification from the Department your status will remain unchanged for longer periods. No further information is available until all checks have been completed, and the decision will be posted here first.

Can anyone tell me ....what can i expect after this ?????

Hi,

I had that message the day before I received an admissions offer + graduate merit award. So fingers crossed and good luck!

My status changed to unconditional offer two days ago, and my application was finalized on December 2nd. However, I submitted my application some 10 days earlier, but my referees didn't submit the references untill that date.

Another thing is that I happily noticed that they accepted a copy of the TOEFL score-report. It feels good not sending money to the overcharging TOEFL-people...

I hope this is of help.

I havent heard anything from them. Think they have forgotten me, or not. I applied rather late, 5. November. Is there anyone who applied that late who have heard anything?

Well I actually applied around mid November and about two/three weeks ago I was put on the waiting list. They have said I should expect to hear from them within the next 6 weeks or so.
Would like to get an offer but I'm not too anxious as have received offers from KCL and UCL already. So I'm now waiting for LSE and Cambridge.

I got an offer from KCL as well, and they were very fast! I submitted my online application 27. December, and posted my transcripts on new years eve. Got the offer on 9. January!

LSE is obviously a bit slower...

I have to correct myself: I submitted my application to LSE 21. November. And since Capa submitted his application 12. November and got his offer today, there is obviously some activity at the admissionoffice...

Way to go Capa!! Congratulations!

My '8 weeks' is up on friday (if you count the christmas holidays as part of it), so here's hoping. I really want LSE - it looks great.

Best of luck to everyone!!!!

Thanks, it was certainly an anxious wait but i'm happy I have offers now from all three. It was hard to "rank" them prior to these offers but now, being unbiased, I know LSE is probably the place to be for a London LLM.

Best wishes to everyone
