To blackbelt and The Counsel,

I applied for the Corporate Program, and I am from Asia. I know at least another fellow from my country who also received the call yesterday though I'm not sure which program he/she was applying for.

Still two weeks' time to go...

Well blooming.. congrats on being short listed!

Would anyone have a clue how long Stanford continues this interviewing process?

I did my LLM in Stanford. You cant be admitted without the interview (it is the only LLM that requires it) and they dont schedule anything, they just call an check if you have a good reaction over pressure.

If you received the call, you have 50% chances of going in. If you go in, they will send you an e-mail. They send all e-mails at the same time and after they start calling usually they release the result in two weeks max.

Hi Gloss!

Thanks for your very helpful post! Any information at this stage is much appreciated!

Sorry to bother you. Do you mind tell us if the 50% is a rough estimation made by yourself or is based on facts or precedents?

Thanks in advance!

To someone interviewed by Stanford faculty staff,

Did they mention when are they going to release the decisions?

Thanks in advance!

Blackbelt:

I discussed the admission process with the coordinator of the LLM in corporate when I was there. This number is based on this conversation, but it is not exact. For the Corporate program they select around 30 students to call, from around 50 that go to the final stage of admission. From these 30 students they call, they offer 15 seats max (I am talking about Corporate). There is no wait list, so either you are in or not.
For the IP, just reduce all the numbers above to half.
The total number of students accepted for the LLM specifically is around 20-23.
No scholarship provided of any sort, just full tuition.

Gloss,

What about this year?

When are they going to send the decision e-mails?

Can you give us Follow Up regarding this issue?

Thanks!

Thank you so much, Gloss!

You mean that SLS does not extend a seat refused by an applicant to any other applicant? Therefore, the number of students actually attending the program depends on the acceptance of the first and unique round of offers?

Now, I understand why people claim SLS LLM to be a such selective program...

All the best!

Yes, unfortunately, they dont extend.
Regarding the "selective", I dont know if people ever thought about that but with only 20-23 seats total it is very probable that a big number of students that are accepted in HLS are not accepted in SLS, because HLS has more than 100 seats. The same rule applies to YLS.
On the other hand, 1 or 2 students per year refuse each of SLS and YLS to go to HLS. In my year just 1 in SLS.

Yes. I got an e-mail this Friday from Stanford saying they will release results very soon. I should be contacting some of the admitted students from my country. Each alumni is encouraged to get in touch with new students from his country to share his experience in Stanford/after Stanford and to build a stronger network.

The two weeks you mentioned already passed, so it means that in any moments we will receive news from Stanford.

Am I right?

Any news?
