UCLA's admission notice is so far the coolest one I've received. It talks of the School's academic artillery as well as other fun stuufs like the weather, food/cuisine availabiltiy, cultural diversity and Hollywood. I guess its the West Coast's way of welcoming propective enrollees... us...and with beach parties and other events... it's not bad...I will probably move UCLA up in my list...

Congratulations to all! Would you mind telling us when was your application complete and where are you from?

Mine was complete 1 month ago and I haven't heard anything yet.

Besides, Does your status change into "decision" on the online system?

To Hegel325:

You should have noticed that thoses applicants who got admission from UCLA all have very excellent credentials as they mentioned before(such as Mikifromitaly and The Counsel). Besides, most of them also got admissions from other law school, such as CLS, Penn Law, Duke, Cornell ..etc. To sum up, they are exactly whom most law schools want.

However, I think you don't have to worry about this because, which is also my personal opinion, that these applicants will turn down most offers (and as I know, some of them already did it ) and head for HLS/YLS/SLS/CLS/NYU. At that time would be what we call the "Holy Trinity" begins. ( the Holy Trinity War always starts along with the resuls of SLS/HLS/YLS )

And in order to fill the vacant positions of those who head for top 5 , "wait list" is created and that is the reason why "wait list" merchanism exists . So, I don't think these admitted students will be the ones enrolled into UCLA eventually.

Hope it helps and Good luck !

Hi,
Last year, UCLA sent admissions letter from 2/28 to 3/8, it took 9 days.
This year, the first admissions letter was sent in 2/21, so I guess you should not give up hope until 3/1.
Good luck!:-)

Sorry but another question: did you receive your scholarship offer in your admission mail or seperate?
Thank you and are you going to attend UCLA? I am still in doubt between USC and UCLA, but of course very happy to have a choice! RS

I received an offer of acceptance from UCLA a few weeks ago. UCLA is definitely strong in the Business Law areas - check the faculty profiles online. However, I'm still deciding among Vanderbilt, William & Mary, USC and UCLA. I'm really interested in studying corporate law and taking the NY State bar examination. Also, I didn't get any scholarship awards yet.

Any input about these schools (especially UCLA and Vanderbilt and how they stand in comparison to each other) will be much appreciated. Thanks and good luck to those who are still waiting for their decisions.
