Hi,
I received my admission letter from UCLA on Fe. 23rd. I was also admitted into NYU. Is anybody else on the same predicament?
thank you.

I would suggest NYU if you're applying in their Tax program, because they have a very strong reputation in this field, otherwise, UCLA.

For those guys who are accpeted,

Is the deposit deadline of yours the end of March? I sent my application on early January and haven't heard of anything yet. Just now they responded to me that the decision would possibly be made by the end of this month, so I guess it means waitlisting...

BTW, are you guys gonna accept the offer?

Hey Hegel325,

I submitted mine late January as well, and still no answer, nothing!!!

I was accepted in one school already, but in the UK, so I have a backup in any case. I guess I am wait-listed as well or else !!!

They are sending the last acceptance/rejection letters now, my application arrived by DHL on January, 29 and I just received their decision, so it should not be long for those waiting. Hope it helps!

May I ask that is it by email, or postal mail?
I am still waiting right now. I hope the answer will be made soon, because the deadline of my the other admission is in the end of May. So I am worried about that.

Did the UCLA send you email without your request, and reply you about the probable decision date? I am still waiting, too.

I wrote an e-mail to ask them about it.

Tomorrow would be the spring recess of UCLA. I don't think they will respond to applicants at that time, so did you get your answer? Should I write an email asking about my admission status?

I declined UCLA's admission offer as I got significant grant from another well-ranked school.

should I say thank you? kind of weird... But, anyway did UCLA request you to answer by any particular date? I am curious about its admission processing status right now?

Thank you.

They ask you to confirm acceptance and deposit at dsignated deadline about 1 month as there are other guys in the line, but by experience from other schools, you can humbly request for extension.

I got my letter on February 21. I'm in! I even got some funding, which was entirely unexpected.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to find an apartment and a roommate from, literally, across the country.

We are thinking of looking for a roommate as well. There are two of us (a couple - one is in the law program and another in graduate school - she is already in California). Perhaps there are people interested in sharing? Especially the graduate housing seems interesting.

I'm looking for a place within 0-3 miles from campus so I can walk or bike to class every day. I'm also looking for something in the $700-800 range, even though I know that's unlikely.

I've put my name in for the "roommate available" option under UCLA's housing. I'm also planning to submit a "roommate finder" application as soon as UCLA updates it's 2009 Admitted LL.M. Students page (I e-mailed Sunday and they said the page would be updated within a few days).

hey guys!!

Congrats to you all!! i got accepted to UCLA too and an award as well...havent accepted cause am waiting for someother decisions to roll in and also cause i need funding for the balance costs as well....am from way across the other side of the world and would appreciate if someone can enlighten me about the admission process and how long i can risk waiting? also i've been checking housing etc...graduate housing seems a bit expensive and even places within the 3 mile radius...guess i'll have to settle for some place from where i could commute by the big blue if i do get in...

appreciate your replies..Cheers all !!
