Hi, I guess I am the first one to reply. I submitted my application before the second gathered field. When do you think I will get a reply. If so, do they send me an email or a letter?

It seems to me that no one has any knowledge about the application progress for Oxford's MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice.

If my experience is anything to go by you should receive a respone 5 weeks after the end of the applicable gathering field. I received notification of my acceptance by way of letter. Best of luck!

I am still waiting for their reply. Should I email them or call them up? Or should I just wait for their letter.

Cwaw, you seem to be the only one in this discussion board with an offer for MSc in Crim and Crim Justice. Did they give you an offer because you have strong academic background?

They usually accept around 20 students for this course each year. Is this true?

I don't think there would be any harm calling; from my experience the administrative staff at the centre are friendly and helpful. In my previous degree I was top student in a large but fairly obscure law faculty; in addition I have two professional qualifications and some work experience.

I wonder whether the small size of the class (+- 20 per year) has contributed to the lack of discussion on this forum?

I have received their email today. They told me that they need to re-evaluate my application and placed my application in the 5th Gathered Field (deadline 16th May 2008). What does that mean? Usually, what would happen under such circumstances?

Does that mean I have to wait for another 5 weeks after subsequent to the 16th May 2008 (according to your previous calculation)?

I hope I can get in, God Bless!

I can't be sure but I imagine that you will have to wait five weeks from the end of the 5th gathering field. I hope that you hear sooner though.

Where you you from Yomanho?

Has anyone else been accepted for this course?

I am from Hong Kong and I got my first degree in Canada.
How about you? Where are you from?

Do you think there will be many applicants for the 5th gathered field?

Last year they accepted 17 people instead of 20. I think they made 20 offers but only 17 people accepted. Do you agree?

I think no one applied to this course except us. I hope I could get in.
