I think they are waiting to receive the deposits of the first way of acceptances, which deadline is today.

Is the deposit deadline today?
I think we will need to submit the deposit at the beginning of April and we have not received information about the deposit from admission office.

I close friend told me that today is his last day for sending his intention of going to Berkeley, and also for sending the check.

I’m not sure if everyone received the same deadlines.

Sorry if my last post was confusing!

Hi Taka, you don't have to worry about the deposit. We were just asked by the administration to send the Intent to Register before the deadline (today). We'll have to pay the deposit in april.

To those who are still waiting for an answer, I really hope you'll receive some good news next week!

To be absolutely clear, I quote the admission e-mail:
"To confirm your place in the 2008-2009 class, please email us or return page 1 of the attached form by fax or mail no later than Friday, March 14, 2008 by 5:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time. You will also be asked to submit a non-refundable deposit early in April to hold your place in the LL.M. class of 2009".
=> we WILL be asked (...) in April
For now, we don't even know how to submit the deposit..
But maybe I missed sthing?

So, does someone know if tomorrow Berkeley will release the second wave of acceptances?

is it true that we have to wait until may to fill out the NIF form, because we are not loaded into the CalNet Directory until late May? Or does the ID work for anyone?

Hi Marli,
I'm glad you ask, my ID doesn't work either... But I haven't been told that I'd have to wait until May, only that I had to wait 48h after having created my passphrase in order to be registered as an active student. I'll check and ask tomorrow.

Best

Hi all,
Have you received any instructions regarding the bank reference letter for supporting the one year study from Berkeley? If so, would appreciated if you may share with us here. Thanks.

Dear Gaelle,

I don't think our ID will work on the system after 48 hours. After I create my new passphrase, I wait longer than that but the ID still doesn't work on everything. (I can't remember the exact time but I has been waiting around 5 days I think) I can't complete NIF, change my profile or create my email account.

Does anyone ask Boalt Hall when the system will exactly work for our ID?

Hi Noname,
I've just asked the LL.M office, and been answered that all the prospective students seemed to be experiencing the same pb, which should be resolved tomorrow (on friday).

To Junesun:
I guess you are talking about the letter of the bank/ the financial support - stating that you'll have sufficient money to live and study in Berkeley during the program - required to get a visa? Unfortunately I've no precise information on this matter to share with you. To my mind, a mere (and original) letter stating all this and signed by the appropriate person should be sufficient... But I don't help much!

Yes. The interesting thing is I can logon the page of Bear Facts, but when I try to logon the page of Statement of Intention to Register, it always says," The login ID and password entered is invalid. Please try again." Anyone has the same problem?

It still doesn't work for me either. It says:
First, that I have been successfully authenticated;
Second, that was my student ID was not found in their database view.
I'll write to the admission office in the afternoon (except if anyone else has already done so?).

I just called this guy 'jason' at the admissions office and he told me that they're having technical problems with the database.
