I applied for the Dual program of University of Cergy-Pontoise + University of Dundee and sent application materials to the Cergy-Pontoise University address.Sun Apr 27, 2008 03:31 PM Could you please let me know what is the tuition fee for the full course of the Dual LL.M. programme (including two periods in Scotland and France)? Is it necessary to send additional application to the Dundee University? If so, does on-line application form (UKRPASS) of University of Dundee contain the option for the Dual programme or it is possible to choose LLM course in international commercial law (P022119) to apply for the Dual programme? I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. |

Thanks for your message. If appying through the University of Dundee the total fees for the programme are as follows:-Mon Apr 28, 2008 12:38 PM EU students £3950 Non-EU students £8500 If you apply through UCP then you will be taught in French when spending your semester there. If you wish to be taught in English for the entire duration of the programme then you should apply through the University of Dundee. You should be able to select an option for the Joint LL.M on UKPASS but if this is not available then please select the International Commercial Law programme and make it clear on the application that you are interested in the Joint LL.M. If you require further information please do not hesitate to contact me (f.j.clark@dundee.ac.uk). |

I have heard that CEPMLP is separate from Law School of University of Dundee.Tue Apr 29, 2008 04:36 AM How would you compare LLM Int. Commercial Law offered by University of Dundee and LLM International Business Law offered by CEPMLP Dundee? The tuition fees of CEPMLP is £10000 whereas in Dundee Law it is £8500 for non-EU. I guess all graduates will get the same University of Dundee Degree. What is difference between 2 programmes? Please guide me. Thanks, TM |

The School of Law and the CEPMLP are separate entities within the College of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Dundee. Both award Dundee degrees.Tue Apr 29, 2008 01:25 PM The CEPMLP is one of 3 Centres within the Postgraduate School of Management and Policy. It is a graduate school and employs an interdisciplinary approach to teaching, research and consultancy in the field of international business transactions and natural resources and energy law and policy. The School of Law is focussed exclusively on legal research and legal training both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. All main areas of law are covered within the teaching and research portfolios of academic staff. Reference must be made to the websites of the School of Law and the Centre to compare the structure, content and organisation of their LLM programmes. www.dundee.ac.uk/law/programmes/pg/taughtmasters/ www.dundee.ac.uk/cepmlp/ |

I have applied for this LLM, seems very interesting, my school is taking awfully long to send in my documentations though. Fri May 02, 2008 03:11 PM 1. I would like to know if anyone else has applied. I feel I have a good chance of getting in so I just want to meet other prospective students (and possible flatmates). 2. I have been looking online for accomodation and it appears that most places will only rent for a 1yr. I would like to know if the university has made any arrangements for us in terms of short term housing? Also when is a good time to start seeking accomodation? 3. I am very excited about living in Scotland, do you know of any websites I can go on to check out the country (even though I might have exhausted all the websites..lol..). 4. In terms of working, what are my prospects of getting a job in Scotland during the semester and even in France? 5. On the accomodation note, can you tell me if accomodation will be made available for us in France? 6. I am an overseas student, I will have to get a UK student visa and a French Student visa, can you tell me how how the university will assit with this? And how soon will I know if I have gotten in after my documents are received? As this will impact on my visa application time and when I get to Scotland, because I actually live in the caribbean and I find UK visa regulations to be very harsh these days. 7. Laslty, I am very excited to hear from other prospective students also. Thanks in advance. |

Graf, I applied via UKPASS and i selected the LLM in International Commercial Law and in my application somewhere I made it clear I want to be in the programme. Also, when Dundee sends you the email to review the information you have provided to them, just make a note on it that you wish to join the joint programme. Fri May 02, 2008 03:17 PM Hope that helps? Where are you from Graf? Are you a lawyer? |

Students applying for University of Dundee accommodation apply each semester and also for the summer period so it will be no problem for the University to accomodate short-term leases.Tue May 06, 2008 10:08 AM Further information see their website:- www.dundee.ac.uk/residences/index.php?section=Home… Also, re living in Scotland, this is a good website - will also give you info on working and staying in Scotland once your studies are finished:- www.scotlandistheplace.com/stitp/276.html |

The first semester in Cergy will be from September - December 2008. If you spend the second semester with Dundee University, you will start on 19 January 2009. Dissertation preparation commences during the second semester in Dundee. Supervision sessions then take place in June and July.
