UC Davis vs. University of San Diego
I'm going to the States with 2 kids,(6 and 3 year old) so I'm considering how kids-friendly the area is when selecting my school.Mon Mar 10, 2008 06:27 AM I've lived in San Diego 5 years ago, so I know that area quite well, but I don't know much about this "Davis" city. Is that a very small country town, so you have to go far away just to shop for a nice pair of shoes? Plus I know the ranking of USD is quite low (like #90)and UC Davis is about #35. Does that mean Davis offers much better program? How's USD's reputation? I'd love to hear from someone who chose Davis or attended Davis. Gool luck to everybody who's waiting for the good news!! |

Hello,Mon Jun 16, 2008 09:07 PM Davis is a small town close to Sacramento and San Francisco. If you have kids, I would recommend you to choose Davis. First of all, it's cheaper than other cities in CA. As far as I know, the university provides housing opportunities to students with children. You just need a bike here, that's it. There are all kinds of restaurants, bars&pubs, markets, grossaries. If you want to go shopping, you have to go to Sacramento, it takes 20 minutes to get there. Nazli |
