I wouldn't presume that just because we didn't get news from HLS that we will be rejected. Guys, don't worry. You'll have plenty of time to worry about it if you get rejected. But if you worry too much, a refusal will hurt even more.
Before applying, I prepared myself for the worst outcome, which is nothing more but a mere refusal. I can't deny that it'll be disappointing, but I am prepared. Now, I will try to occupy my mind with something else and time will pass faster. Good luck!

Hi,

I have just called the admission office and they informed me that my application was denied :-(

If you call and give your name and some details you will get the answer!

Congrats to those admitted!
A few questions: If one has been rejected does it weigh negatively to apply again a year later?
If one is granted a prestigous scholarship beforehand- do chances increase to enter?
And last - any accepted applicants this year from Finland? Or Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland?

They don't take into account previous rejections.

I received a plain rejection last year and this year they appear really enthusiastic in having me there. I received an offer some days ago and also a phone call from someone in the Admissions Office to explain the advanteges they have over Yale (I got admitted there too).

I also do not think one could jeopardize his/her application by calling them to have news. Be polite, have a good excuse for calling them - I think everyone already have another offer by now - and get ride with this anxiety.

I've been to Iceland last year, nice place!

Anyway, congratulation to u, Kobayashi. What a great achievement? YLS, HLS, SLS and CLS. Which one u will choose to go?

Moreover, may I ask u some questions?

Can u share ur profile or some suggestions?
When u received a rejection last year, u refused all admission from other places, if any. do u? After rejection last year, what do u do to increase ur chance?

I wrote to them yesterday afternoon and got my answer last night.
I was rejected.... no surprise there!!
I'm going to Columbia… and I'm actually exited about it!

I'm in the same situation as you are cllm.

E-mailed them on Monday and just got my answer: rejection.

I'm happily going to NYC to attend CLS! See you on August!

OMG this thread is getting so deperate...........it is hard to receive a rejection, i applied only two and got in NYU and UVA.............i do not know y i was not inclined to apply to HLS, just i did not like to apply there..................may be it was to save me from a rejection...........however good luck to all.....HLS is not the end of world, other schools are good on equal footing.....if some one is hard working and brillient by himsef/herself then i think school name does not matter........just shine urself and u will get ur desired job/post in ur life................good luck for all of us

I am still waiting too - I haven't received any news from Harvard and started to think that they've actually rejected me. I am too scared to call or email them. I assume they will send rejection emails too, won't they?

Dauren, the same here. No news (good or bad) from Harvard and today is already the 22nd... Wanted to see if other people posted "I'm in"s emails here, but it was not the case...
Did anyone receive admissions or rejections from Harvard yesterday or today (without having emailed or called them)?

Just phone them! You're either in, out, or on a wait list. And they will tell you which in about five minutes. To be honest if you haven't heard anything i'd have thought the latter was the most likely (just cause everyone i know who got rejected/accepted has got an email).

It's got to be better than checking your inbox every two minutes :)
