You should check out the USNews rankings for law schools. You can find it online at usnews.com. University of Georgia is definately ranked higher than LSU. Whereas, LSU is unique because they offer both civil and common law courses. But you probably want to base you choice more on the courses offered at each school and your area of interest. As for the cost of living, the websites at both schools probably offer an estimate.

Anyway, I also applied to LSU, but I haven't heard back yet. When did you get you application in and when did you hear back? Did they send you a confirmation email? I feel like LSU has been much worse about being in touch with applicants than other schools. Did you find the same thing?

Hi! Thanks for reply. I heard back from LSU 3 days ago by email. How do you think, where is the better perspective for the future career, LSU or UGA? I am international student, and I want to practice law in usa. And another Q, can I take Bar exam after LSU/UGA?

Thanks.

UGA is ranked 36 in the country, while LSU is ranked 91. I would definately suggest UGA over LSU if you are looking to practice law anywhere in the US other than Louisiana. In terms of the Bar, there are some places where you can take the exam with an LLM from either UGA or LSU, like New York or DC. You really should read some of the threads on this website about practicing in the states with an LLM though. There's a ton of information you should be considering in making your decision.

Congratulations!
I can advise you to choose UGA since it is in top 30 plus it has been known as a very good Law School.
Living in GA is not expensive, Athens, GA is a small and very nice student town. I don't know anything about Louisiana, but I live in GA for 4 years and I like Athens.
Good Luck!

I live right near Baton Rouge too

But, I spent time in Athens and it was a great school and much higher ranked and well respected
