How much does prestige of program matter for aspiring academicians?
I would like to hear opinions on the following question: Mon Mar 17, 2008 05:18 PM If one is doing a research-stream LLM in order to pursue an academic career in law, how much does prestige of LLM program matter? For example, if one is choosing between a UofT or McGill offer with less attractive supervision options and a so-called "second tier" school with more attractive supervision options, how detrimental would it be in terms of tenure-track job prospects (in either US or Canada) to go with the latter? |
