Hi, everyone,

I want to study company law, commercial law, corporate governance and other business law.

Fortunately, I have got offer from QM and SOAS.
However, I can't decide which is better for me.
If someone knows about SOAS and QM, please tell me.

Thank you.

Hi,

Both are very well regarded law departments. Both are also centrally located.
SOAS is known for its comparative/developmental expertise. QM is known for its commercial approach.

Thank you very much for your answer.

I would like to study practical laws for business.
Therefore, I think that I should chose Queen Mary.

However, the university ranking of QM is lower than SOAS.
Although I should not worry about the ranking, I want to know the reason.

SOAS is a small specialist institution. QM is a large multi-faculty university. In my view this is why SOAS gets an unfair advantage in rankings. Both schools are part of the federal university of London. QM is generally considered to be a top 15 law department(out of 113).
