NYU's Tax Program Scholarship

Just got admitted into NYU's LLM program in Taxation, and curious about when their decisions for the tax program scholarships will come out. These scholarships are supposed to be available to the fulltime students in Taxation only. Does anyone have any idea?

also, what is the approximate size of NYU's class of Taxation? How about International Taxation? Thank you very much.

Hi Aspen,

Congrats for your admission.

I'm an international student admitted to NYU's domestic tax program. Reagrding tax shcolarships, I was told by someone at the admission office that notification of any grant/scholarhsip would be given in the admission letter.

Hope this helps

Thank you, Lafayette, for the info. Have you heard of the Gerald L. Wallace Fund Scholarships? According to their website, the application materials for this scholarship will be sent separately to admitted students. Have you got it yet?

I'm just been admitted to the international tax program and i received an application form last 4 days ago for Wallace Scholarship.

"We are writing you today to inform you that we have a limited number of half-tuition scholarships available to students in the International Tax Program."

But I don't know if this scholarship is also available for the general tax program...

Thanlk you, Tchoummi. According to their website, this scholarship should be available to LLMs in both Taxation and International Taxation. I received my NUY admission letter two weeks ago. Do you mind telling me how long you've waited for the scholarship application package to arrive after you got the admission letter? Thank you very much.

I received my package on March 3, and the e-mail on March 20. The deadline to apply provided in the mail is March 27, and it is also said that decisions will be communicate in early april.
So I guess it only concerns, for a definite number of Wallace Scholarship, only the ITP, while some other scholarships will be granted later to general tax students (since there are many more student in general tax, it might explain why it comes later...)

Anyway, you should ask them directly, to be sure not to miss the opportunity to avoid $20000 of tuition...
