I'd let your heart guide you. Feel the force. If your more old school and into IVY then Cornell. But if your a militant liberal nerd who has a misconception about life and want to save the world-- then Berkely.

Berkely is better reputed, but I'd go with Cornell because I'm a gun wielding conservative.

Definitely Berkeley! Both have good reputations, but Berkeley is ranked higher, and that really does translate into better job opportunities, as well as opportunities for higher salary and more benefits. If you wish to pursue an SJD, the higher ranked your LL.M. school, the more chances you have for an SJD. I would choose Berkeley, definitely!

I would go to Cornell and not to Berkeley. If you are interested in corporate, Cornell is better than Berkeley. If you are into IP, then maybe Berkeley.
I don't give too much about rankings, as you could easily make the case that Cornell is IvyLeague, while Berkeley is not. The SJD is not really an argument, because few people will go for an SJD after an LLM, and then the difference between rank 7 and rank 11 is not all that significant.
And don't forget that at Cornell, you are at the East Coast, so if you want to work in NYC afterwards, that might be an advantage. Same goes for Cali and Berkeley.
A friend of mine studied one year at Cornell and absolutely loved it. She said it was a really nice atmosphere around there, like a small community where the university really cared about them. I don't know anybody who studied at Berkeley, so I cannot comment on that. If you want, and you have any doubts, I'll try to put you in contact with her.

Both schools are great.
I have a plan to go to Corenll because of their program.

Choose your professor and goal
before you choosing school.

What is important for you? weather? Ivy League? Programs? Professor? Ranking?
you choose that’s really what counts.

If you don't need Ivy league all that and you need good wether, high ranking....you gotta go to Berkeley.
you wanna have Ivy title...Cornell
