Hello all,

Has anyone received a reply from CUHK yet? My application is still "IP" and yet I know a number of people have already been accepted. I don't know if this means I'm likely to get a rejection letter or not.

And sorry if this post bothers anyone, I know this is a LLM board.

Cheers

Hi mini-c,

Have you heard from CUHK yet? Did your friend say when they received the e-mail from the director?

I called the admissions office a couple of days ago and they told me that they'll release the second round of offers in early May...

I see I see. I applied to CityU as well but I'm still waiting for their response. How about you? Have you heard from CityU? I applied for the full-time program at both universities.

Do you have an interview with HKU then? I think they are holding interviews from May to June~

no i haven't heard anything yet....sigh*
i haven't been offered an interview by HKU either, but I'm guessing that no rejection from them is still a good sign.

I think we might find out in June, because my friend who applied 2 years ago got his acceptance in June.

Hey mini-c,

My application status for CUHK is still "IP". I received an acceptance letter for CityU's JD program though. I'm not sure what CUHK is doing with my app... I've been waiting for quite awhile now.

How are your applications going for the three universities? Did you receive any good news from them yet?

Hey mini-c,

I've paid the deposit for CITYU already so I might end up going.

Are you going to CITYU as well then? I e-mailed CUHK and they told me that they may even release application results in August.

Cheers

Hello everyone,
I also received acceptance into the CUHK JD program. Just wondering if anyone knows about the lawyer-licensing-process differences between Canada and HK. In terms of the PCLL changes, which one is easier? -- doing law in HK and then practising in Cda or doing law in Cda and practising in HK? Thanks!

Hi mini-c and 4sysc,

Congratulations on your offers! :-)

mini-c, did you get a reply from HKU yet? The deadline for accepting CUHK's offer is coming up soon but I have yet to hear from HKU.

ps. I think I'll choose CUHK's JD programme over CITYU's, mainly because CUHK's graduate law building is much closer to where I live.
