Do you apply Illinois?

Sorry , a lot of questions!

Diana. I got the scholarships, but I think it will depend on where are you from. You realy have to show financial need.

I accepted.

Hello ,Frank
Thak you for your answering!
I saw the scholarship information form Illinois website. There are many kinds of scholarships, and some scholarships do need people from special countries.I am form Taiwan, and I think if I have the chance to get the scholarship without this limitation?By the way, could I ask when did you receive the addmission after applying?
Thank you a lot!!!

University of Illinois College of Law at Urbana-Champaign is definitely a top choice. I can testify from my own experience as I will be a proud Illinois LL.M alumni this week end:Coming from France I have had an excellent year there.
Faculty is really excellent with top notch Professors in every field of study, very dedicated to students, all classes are definitely intellectually challenging and the campus is huge and beautiful. As LL.M we have here the rare privilege to be fullly integrated with the JD students in class and it is a really challenging experience.
Very diverse student body ( lawyers, judges, scholars...) coming from all around the world from the best schools: France , Germany, Russia, Korea, Argentina, Taiwan, China,Venezuela...

Good school, indeed!
Excellent campus, good (top notch in some fields) professors, better prices for food/house than in Chicago, I enjoyed my year there.

I was also honored with an admission letter from Illinois. I haven't received as yet a response with respect to my scholarship application. I'm very keen on securing a substantial aid. Good luck to all of you throughout this process.

Without my knowing it, i received an e-mail last tuesday that Illinois was unable to grant me a scholarship and , therefore, that i should start obtaining other sources of financing. I usually check out my e-mails everyday but this time and to my surprise, this e-mail didn't get through my Received Files Folder and, instead, went straightaway to the junk mail folder, which is strange. It seems as though my e-mail server knows what i like and don't like hearing about. :)

I got admitted into 5 top schools - Chicago, NYU, Penn Northwestern and Illinois. NYU granted me $5k, but Illinois granted me half tution. I've made up my mind to go to Illinois as I will pay extra $20k on my own expenses. I don't think it's worth paying too much for a commercial degree at those renowned schools. They just want easy money from foreign students.
