I really enjoy tax law and want to pursue an LLM in tax right after I finish my JD. I want to focus in international tax. Does anyone know or have any opinion about the value of getting the tax LLM overseas? I was thinking perhaps at Leiden, LSE, Maastricht, Vienna, or the European Tax College. Would a European LLM degree help me at all in job hunting back in the US? Would what I learn be applicable to practice in the US? I as this because I am not sure if I would want to stay somewhere in Europe or come back to NYC. Either was I want to practice international tax law and a year studying intensely in Europe would be a great experience. Any opinions??? Thanks so much. NYU is considered the most prestigous Tax LLM by many people in Europe. As an American, would you agree to that?
