I haven't officially accepted my offer quite yet, but am planning on attending ILF this upcoming year. Who else? Anyone interested in getting in touch, through a facebook group or some such, so we can start getting to know each other and share information?

I'm looking forward to finding out who else will be in Frankfurt in October!

Hi, Janet!
I think that your idea is great!
I have been admitted to ILF for the academic year 2008-2009 and I am also interested (and curious) to find out who are going to be my future student - mates. I think that it is a good idea to start knowing each other and to exchange our experience and impressions.
See you:)!

Yes, I am in the lawyrs.net group -- but I have some problems using their website, and I don't use it very often. I was thinking that it might be easier to use Facebook, which I use more often. If any of the rest of you use Facebook and/or would be interested in a Facebook group, send me a PM, and I will create a group and make sure each of you gets an invite.

Hi all,

I am a student from the 2007-2008 class and will probably stay in Frankfurt after my studies.

Let me know if you need any help with any practicalities.

Hello MW, since you had already finished the LLM program, could you give me some information abou t the housing prices in Frankfurt? I pretend to try ILF next year (2009-2010), but I need to know how much would cost to rent an apartment. Since I have two children, I think I would need a two bedrooms apartment. Any guess?

I also would like to know about internship in the German financial regulatory body BaFin. I would be very interested, since I am a public attorney in Brazil, working at the brazillian securities and exchange commission (CVM).

My Friend,

I would guess around 700-800 a month! For singles, there are plenty of opportunities in a range of 350-500. If you get a WG then it would be much simpler. If you plan things well, you may find a 2 rooms apartment in the Catholic Student House (it is big and quite nice to be honest for around 550, but they just accept families).

I am brazilian as well and am finishing my LL.M now.

Regarding your BaFin interest, the chances are really high that you may get a chance!!! If you are interested on Regulation, you may find a place in German Central Bank or BaFin. If you hold a European Passport, than Consider the European Central Bank as well.

If you need help, send me a message!

Falou

Rafael
