If you get a WG then it would be much simpler. If you plan things well, you may find a 2 rooms apartment in the Catholic Student House (it is big and quite nice to be honest for around 550, but they just accept families). I am brazilian as well and am finishing my LL.M now. Regarding your BaFin interest, the chances are really high that you may get a chance!!! If you are interested on Regulation, you may find a place in German Central Bank or BaFin. If you hold a European Passport, than Consider the European Central Bank as well.
