According to what I've heard, the chance is pretty slim. If you are really interested in this school, you should fight for it. But if you already have another option, I suggest taking it.

I am also in the same boat. I had sent in my application by Feb 1 and since Feb 12 my application status states "complete" but I have not heard anything yet. I have not been informed of being placed on a wait list either. I am a domestic applicant.

Hi, you should call them instead of sending emails. They hardly reply to any emails concerning status inquiry.

I don't know how many students have received AD, but I do know there are 7 Chinese student who will definitely come to Cornell this fall.(Sorry..Because I'm Chinese, I only know this)

Let me tell you guys you have not the slightest chance to get in. Let me explain you why.

Last year I was waitlisted at Cornell, they told me they were about to give offers during the next couple of month (including the summer). The problem was Cornell had been maintaining everybody on the waitlist untill the orientation day (August 15th).

Jus keep in mind they don't care about anybody so don't rely on them.

Yesterday, I received an e-mail from the Cornell School stating that they apologize for delaying the decision because of unforseeing circumstances. Does anybody know about it? or has anyone received an answer from the school?

Really? has your status been changed from COMPLETED into DECISION, since they told that they've sent you the official letter?
my status wasnt changed

Yes, I received an admission e-mail with everything useful attached, and then I checked my online status it turned into DECISON. Before that my status had stayed COMPLETE for 3 months
