Secondly I dont drive and wihtout a car in LA you are useless. As a university, NYU is slightly better than UCLA, been admitted to both but I have accepted NYU despite the fact UCLA has an LLM class of only 50. On the otherhand, UCLA is even more supermarket than NYU. So NYU for sure. The psychology and methodology behind the reason for the prestige means nothing if your main goal is to do well after graduation. Then again, it's not overrated at all. Its faculty, facilities and atmosphere are unmatched and it's not a supermarket, it's a university.
