Thkx,

But I am getting somehow worried now since I received the notification on April 1st and have not heard back from the admission eversince.

Do you think that April 30 deadline is for the first rounder (of acceptance) or is it a deadline for all applications....Coz if it's the case, then...it would mean that I am not admitted....

Man this whole process makes me so nervous. I reckon that I've applied late compared to many applicants but from all my applications (4 in total)...no decision released yet.

I'd better try to remain calm and confident...I've been told that I have a good profile (6 years of experience in 2 different European countries, good uni, grades relatively ok - but after 6 years of work, I would expect that experience matters more than grades, good toefl score, good rec letters, etc...)....sorry to bother with my woes...

Congrats for admission shayan!

I have concerns regarding housing near GW. I like to live off campus.
And I would be in DC on July 13, should I search now, or I should wait until July to go and see the housing there?
Any suggestions?

Hi all, I have been admitted to GWU and im planning to attend, I have the same worries about housing, but heard that Arlington (accross the bridge) is pretty nice and slightly cheaper, will be looking into all that soon though.

On a side note, would any of you here take University of San Diego with a Scholarship (not full) over GW? I know GW is much better (ranked 20 compared to 84) but its cheaper and a beautiful city.

Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I got admitted into the Int'l and Comp Law LLM program in Mid-February. I asked the Graduate Registrar about the tuition deposit, and they told me that more information will be given to us in late May/early June. I suppose it will be around $500.

I've been in the DC metro area for the last three years, and I can definitely attest to the high cost of living in the area. If you can afford it, buying in the suburbs of MD and VA is a better plan than renting in D.C.

Has anyone not living in the US already found an apartment? I am seriously thinking of getting an apartment in downtown (since it closer, nicer to live etc...), but its pretty expensive, the average apartment is around $1200. It would be great if someone can share their thoughts.

Hi everyone.

I just got an acceptance email today for GWU in IP. I initially applied back in Nov, but there was a long delay in getting my transcripts to them.

Anyway, I'm a domestic student living near DC (in Baltimore). I don't know what likelihood I assign my entrance at GW until I see whether they are fairly generous with their scholarship money. Right now the US legal market is so bad even for domestics that I'm not sure the full tuition price (plus one year of lost income) would be the best investment at the moment. But I am excited about the prospect!

Cheers
