I am wondering if anyone can tell me a little more about what are the options after LLM graduation.
I will be going to GWU this fall and I do not have even 1 year of experience before this.
I am an international student, my experience is in international business, but no legal experience.
So I was looking for some advice - Does anyone know what would be the best path to go after I graduate LLM? I am looking to get some corporate experience but the market is very competitive, anyone with an advice?
Oh..and I am looking to do International and Comparative Law - it does not look like there are a lot of jobs out there with this specialty..
I would appreciate every answer.
Thanks

Where are you from? It's not impossible to get an internship. However, to work as an attorney you need to pass the bar exam. Check out the the requirements of the bar exam in GWU.

Thanks for the answer.
I am from Bulgaria. I checked their Bar exam requirements and hopefully I could sit for the bar after graduation.
I am just not sure if I should go with international law or get a general LLM since I have no specific experience other than chamber of commerce work for the last couple of years.
I live in the US for a while and I am not gonna have an issue with work papers but I am just very frightened that I will graduate with a huge loan and no options further.
I was considering Cardozo or GWU but I think I finally chose GWU
Any advice again?

Let's see, you have a choice between:

1. Calling the career services office and finding out where last year's class placed.

2. Asking a bunch of anonymous posters on the internet.

You chose the latter. Hmmm.
