In brief, you will have to convert your law degree from UK (i.e. take a few australian LLB subjects). Thereafter, complete Practical Legal Training, embark on a Bar Practice Course and be under a barrister for a few years before being able to practise as a barrister in Australia.

The requirements for a solicitor is slightly easier.
