Admission to Lund
Hi Guys,Tue Apr 29, 2008 05:37 PM I've applied for the Masters in Human Rights in Lund and like everyone the waiting is killing me. My rating was updated today with a 999 and under selection group there is the word Lumas and I was wondering If anyone had the same or knows what it means? Best of luck to everyone next week. |

Hello Karmal!!!Tue Apr 29, 2008 07:01 PM I would also like to know what these numbers means!!! I believe the word Lumas means Lund Master Programme. My rating was also updated today!!! I hope someone can inform us what do these numbers mean? Good lucky to you and everyone!!!! |

Hi~ I also have a 999 MR for the HR programme at Lund but I have no idea what this means! does anyone know what type of scale is used? how is the MR calculated? I'm not familiar with the system

nobody is familiar with the system because this system is new and was introduced this year only

You have been accepted! I am also a candidate, it is the second time I am applying for Lund... But my MR status is still showing under assessment! My first option is Human Rights Law (general) and I still don´t have any reply. Is there anyone on the same stituation? Because... I have the repplies for the other Human Rights Program (Intectual Property and Labour Rights) - wich is 1. Maybe the general human rights results are taking longer to be processed. What do you think? Alessandra. My acceptance was for the General Human Rights course. But I also applied for Human Rights and Labor law and it still says application in process. So not really sure how they are doing it.

Hey Karmal19: I am from the U.S. And you? I am relieved after seeing the Faculty of Law's home page! Congrats! but at the same time, how can we apply for a visa without the actual letter of acceptance? I applied to the general HR program only. how about you?

I am MR 1 in Maritime LawWed Apr 30, 2008 04:17 PM I see what's written in LUNDS Website: Due to the large number of applications, the scanning process (of documents) has been delayed at the national admissions office. We are very sorry about this. The official admission results are expected to be announced on 8 May. When you log in at studera.nu you may already see a result code for the admissions. 999 means that you have been accepted, 1 means that you have not been accepted. As soon as you find out that you have been admitted, there are two things you should do as soon as possible: 1. Apply for a visa if you need one 2. Pre-register at Lund University for housing etc. This is the link to the pre-registration: interbas.intsek.lu.se/apply/preregistration.htm Please note that even if we will try to help you, it is the student’s own responsibility to find housing. 999 is great! But i am 1= rejected |

I am sorry-I know it is disappointing. But, you have made it this far and I wouldn't sell yourself short. The best advice I have ever received was this: the key to success is not sticking to a path to reach your goal, but rather it is having the ability to see all the many paths available to reach your goal. because the goal is your main objective. you clearly have career goals for yourself, and there are many ways for you to achieve that. I am excited about studying at Lund, but my objective is to foster a niche in international human rights law. (I guess studying at Lund is also a goal, too, but everyone has the "big picture" goal). don't lose sight of your big picture and main objective. good luck Wed Apr 30, 2008 04:54 PM |

Karmal~I'm hoping to arrive on check in day myself. Since I am from the U.S., I am planning on traveling a bit before classes begin (I have relatives and friends to catch up with in Europe!). So i'll see you there :-)

Hey everyone!!!Thu May 01, 2008 07:29 PM unfourtunelly I wasn't accept in te human rights programme. I applyed the one combined with Labour Law!! Have someone been accepted in this one?? Anyway, I believe I got accepted in 2 other programmes and now it a hard decision to make!!! I am from Brazil, like Alessandra!!!
