alternative career path for LLMs in Canada
Hi, there,Tue May 06, 2008 12:52 AM It is really great to find this discussion board here, so I know I am not alone in Canada now... :-) I have an US LLM. and bar license from NYS & a civil law country. just landed in Toronto as a new immigrant, and have done a little bit research, which has made me decide not to pursue a bar license here. So, I am thinking of some alternative ways for a foreign trained attorney here in Canada. Any suggestion will be highly appreciated!! |

alternative career path for LLMs in Canada
When I graduated from my LLM program I found there were always a few job postings sent around for think tanks/research institutes/etc that require legal background but not call to the bar in Canada. I also had a friend who graduated from UVIC who was on a career email list where they send around job ads.
