LawDragon: Northwestern Tax LLM (not general LLM)

Hello to the People:

I am accepted and considering attending NWU's LLM-Tax this fall, as well as the other top LLM-Tax programs, and was wondering if any current/former LLM-Tax gurus from the top 3-4 programs can comment on:

1. Your perception of the current state of the job market for LLM-T's and your best guess as to the market for 2009 LLM-T's with a US JD (I am not int'l and so I don't really care to discuss non-JD prospects)
2. Areas of tax law that you perceive to be in greater demand (corp/T&E/Int'l/etc)
3. Recommendations to prepare for the year ahead, either books or people to meet or summer jobs to prepare
4. The current level of compensation at B4 for starting JD/LLMs and the relative ease of securing B4 positions compared to law firm jobs (easier; harder; the same; etc)
