Is London that great?
I am starting the LLM this year in international and human rights law. My interest areas include Africa, International Criminal Law and the responsibility of global corporations.Mon Jun 09, 2008 11:01 AM I did my undergrad at Cambridge and I have since interned with the UN in Tanzania. I have two offers- one from SOAS and the other from Cape Town. Obviously the lifestyle in CT is fabulous plus I would be close geographically to many of the areas that interest me particularly. Furthermore, as an English student it makes my CV sound more exotic. Trouble is the academic record is very questionable and on this website people seem to really rate the London unis. I would like to be able to work in Africa some day, if anyone has an opinion please write back as I am totally torn. Holly [Edited by Holly on 09 Jun 2008] |

SOAS is a very good institution but I have to confess that with regard to British universities and human rights i always think of Essex, Nottingham (the university not Trent) and Queens Belfast. The relative merits of these schools have been discussed on various threads.
