MIPLC Accomodation and Health Insurance

Hi,
I've been offered a place at the MIPLC LL.M programme this October.

Currently exploring the best options for accomodation.

Would really appreciate some tips as to accomodation in Munich as well as on taking out a health insurance policy.

I've been told that the MIPLC would send me a list of apartments and student homes. Wondrin whether it would be best to select from these or to do some independent searching on my own. Any ideas

I really dont understand what is your issue? If you were not satisfied of MIPLC, why dont you move on and stop wasting your energy and time here. I was already asking earlier from you what are the reasons why you were not satisfied and what are you doing at the moment. But surprise, surprise no reply!
I have heard only good things about the MIPLC and career opportunities after the degree.

Best regards and I really hope you will get over of your own failures in life. This is not the right place to deal with it!

I think this forum is there to exchange experiences and express opinions, positive or negative, but creating an account called miplcsucks is a bit strange and will probably make all your statements look somewhat biased ;-)

All I can contribute is that In Switzerland the MIPLC (Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property) has a strong reputation for being THE German language center for IP law.

@sunniet: I know nothing about housing in Munich, except that the rents on the regular housing market are very high. Maybe there are some alumni on this site that can help. Have you tried craigslist?

Here is couple of useful links which could help you!

www.immobilienscout.de
www.immowelt.de
www.cs-wohnungsagentur.de

The last link is great, since it is for apartments without broker provisions, which are usually two times monthly rent + VAT and therefore can be quite expensive for students.

As Mikal mentioned, we are here to exchange our experiences to help the future students. Here is the exact place actully to express th problems. taking my message personal and attaching my character show how bias you are and indicate you are one of the admin at miplc or have intersted in the program. so instead of false advertising and misleading future students, you need to improve your program to avoid criticism. If you see me as failure to address a problem, it just shows what kind of program you are running.
my name just shows my frustration, it is up to the readers to decide if it is bias or not.
for future reade my messages have been deleted so many times here. miplc can not take criticism.

And once again...If you want that your messages will be taken seriously and would actually help someone here there should be some content. So for third time 1) What went wrong? and 2) How does your career look at the moment? 4) Where were you doing your internships? 5) What was your GPA after the graduation?

Personally I know six alumni's from MIPLC and they are all having great jobs around the world. As in any university it requires hard studying, good internships, impressive GPA and right attitude.

yo.....sucker (who ever u are) u dont have the balls to reveal ur identity anyways.........and if u really had a problem y dint u join better IP courses in the US????????????????may be GWU or FPLC or did they reject u outright at those places.......
well about u not getting a job its obviously something wrong with u.....either u dint learn enuf here or jus that u are so dumb that nothing goes into ur brain......unfortunately for which no one can help u......NOT EVEN MIPLC........
well i am a current student at the miplc.......and as far as my knowledge goes i know quite a few people who already have offers with law firms in germany and elsewer.......
So for the people who are joining this the MIPLC program.....i think its a great place to be if u know what u want from studies and career......u can contact any of the other students and i am sure the majority will agree......

Hi everyone,

My name is Oliver, I confirmed my admision to the MIPLC and would also like to get in touch with other students starting in October, my email is oliver_galindo@hotmail.com, you can write to me if you want.

I have been checking the accommodation alternatives in the MIPLC website, but I have not done any reservation yet. I think it is better to wait for the apartments that the administration will be proposing, but if any of you guys have an interesting plan for sharing a flat I might as well join in.
