KCL Modules
Wed Jun 25, 2008 10:55 AM
It seems that Prof Ravi Tennekoon and Prof Jan Dalhuisen run competing course modules within KCL on International Financial Services:

- International Finance I;
- International Finace III (half module)

v

- Financial Services and Principles of Financial Regulation
- Legal Aspects of the operation of international Capital Markets (Bonds, Equities, Derivatives) (full module?)

Does anybody have a preference; know which one students prefer to be taught by; know which course tends to produce better grades; if either is better regarded professionally; whether Jan's courses have more of a UK domestic element than Ravi's; which one does more on derivative securitisations?

Then there's the other modules they both teach:
Ravi's - Int Finance II (project finance) (half module)

Jan's - Financial Regulation in US+Europe (full module?)
- Analytical and Quant Method (full module?)

Are they, in practice, expected to be also taken if you undertake their core courses???

Can anyone clarify any of this jumble? Thanks
