LLM competition Law Queen Mary
Hello,Wed Jun 25, 2008 05:23 PM I would be most grateful if you could kindly help me in taking my final decision. I've received an offer from the Queen Mary for its LLM in competition law. I know that King's and UCL are widely recognized as prominent in the field. Does anyone now something abour Queen Mary? Thank you for your help. Stefano |

Dear Vaonas,Mon Jun 30, 2008 10:40 PM I am in fact a direct competitor of Queen Mary, in that I am responsible for one of the other major suite of antitrust programmes in London at City Law School. However, it is not possible but to be impressed by Maher Dabbah's dynamism and energy at Queen Mary in developing his Interdisciplinary Centre for Competition Law. It is becoming increasingly prominent and the major international firms know of QM in this field. For instance a large chunk of the antitrust bar attended the QM lecture on Microsoft with Bo Vesterdorf recently-his very interesting paper on the case is on the ICC website. I would definitively recommend QM as a good place to go for competition law. with best regards ALAN RILEY Professor Alan Riley City Law School City University, London Electronic Mail:alan.riley.1@city.ac.uk |

Dear Stefano,Mon Jul 07, 2008 10:13 AM ULB also have a strong reputation with the antitrust bar, particularly in Brussels. I also know some of the high level practitioners who take some of the seminars, again very impressive. You have two good offers from very good institutions. Its a difficult choice. In my view its a matter of comparing courses with what you in fact want to do and how you want to progress your career. If you want to discuss this further happy to discuss by email. My email address is below. with best regards alan riley Professor Alan Riley Director LLM Programme City Law School, City University, London Electronic Mail:alan.riley.1@city.ac.uk |
