Northwestern Tax vs. Boston U. Banking & Financial

I can't seem to squeeze employment & renumeration stats out of B.U. (which quite frankly scares me a bit) so I'm here to ask you all this question:

With zero scholarship or need based aid variables, which program would you attend? B.U.'s Banking & Financial Law program or Northwestern's Tax program?

Overall cost of attendance is about $7g in favor of B.U. My highest grade at law school was an A- in Banking Law & Regulation. Tax...not so good. Federal Tax I got a C; though State & Local Taxation I received a B+...

Still, the Tax field is obviously a deeper employment field as for firm jobs. Should I do the Banking program I would be seeking work with an investment bank, P.E. group or the like.

Furthermore, should you have walked up to me during my college days in sunny Florida and told me that I would end up a tax attorney, I would have laid you out then asked for an apology. On the flip side, Miami is the third largest FinServ market in the U.S. (though faaaaaar behind VA and rather niche based; NY is by far #1 and home & hearth for all of my life college aside).

So which should I do? If anyone has information on job placement and salary for recent B.U. B&F LLM grads it would be greatly appreciated. I know that with the rapid decay of the NYC market due to a bunch of overpaid A-holes who thought it would be cute to bait & switch the poverty line into shite mortgage terms who now can't collect a dime in bad mortgages is causing atrophy unseen for decades in the FinServe market, but I figure some historical info is better than none.

Thanks in advance and best of luck to everyone here in their personal endeavors.

I can't speak to the Northwestern program but I do know this having been on the east coast for some time...if you plan to spend your life on the east coast you need an east coast school on your resume. While Northwestern isn't bad BU is damn good and carries a great deal of weight on the east coast. It all depends on where you want to practice.

I'm starting at BU in the fall for Banking and Financial Law and am looking for a roommate - let me know what you decide!!!!

Northwestern is one of the ten best universities in the country and the tax program has a level which is similar to that from NYU. There is not possible to hesitate one second. ;)
