Dear Sir

I am applying for the LLM program in IBL and Corporate and Financial Services. I have duly filled two forms for the same. 1. However, it is stated on the website that the original TOEFL score sheet would be required. Would it be possible that the original sheet be attched in one form and referred in the other one?
2. I had indicated on the TOEFL site to send score to NUS Department of Law. How can i check if my score sheet has been delivered to you and thereafter send the forms accordingly.

Your response would really help me in sending the form on time. Due to some postal issues i have still not recieved my original TOEFL sheet and in the event that my score has been delivered to NUS, I would be able to meet the candidature requirements.

Thanks and Regards

Applicants who have studied for their LLB in English (such as Indian students) can submit a request for waiver of TOEFL/IELTS. This request can be submitted along with the application form.

However, if you have taken TOEFL/IELTS and attained a good score, please do indicate this. It will serve to confirm your aptitude in English.

As for the earlier enquiry, you will need to send in only one TOEFL/IELTS score even if you are applying for both a regular LLM and the LLM - International Business Law. As long as you indicate the NUS as the recipient of the score, we will be sure to obtain it. Otherwise, we will get back to you to let you know if we don't obtain the score.

That means when we have a good score, Indians can just indicate that without ordering for TOEFL reports to be sent to you? Right?

If you have a score, you should of course get it (the official score) sent to us. It can only help your application.

Now, how much time do you take to send us back the acknowledgment.
One more thing, both my referees have sent their reports directly to you. I hope that will be fine.

Mr Tan
I am a Indian Student who has applied for LLM in Intellectual Property Rights I have sent my application to NUS along with a certified copy of my IELTS score sheet.I know that as an Indian student who has been educated in English,I do not require IELTS.However having read a few earlier posts where you stated that if my score is good,it would help my admissions,i decided to send the scores.Hence i have not requested for a waiver from the IELTS/TOEFL requirement.(I have a 8.5 overall band score). Now i have encountered a problem.I have asked for a additional test report form to be sent to NUS and there has been some delay in this being sent.Hence it has not reached NUS before the 1st December deadline. Will this jeopardize my admission process.I am quite worried. The admission form along with other required documents should have reached NUS before the 1st dec deadline

I also had another query. When i had asked you earlier i was told that NUS requires a 65% or more to increase chances of admission.I have secured a 62%.However this puts me in the top 5% in my class. My academic referees have also vouched for this in the reference forms. What im trying to say is the marking system in my university is stringent. Will this be given any consideration during admissions??
thankyou

Dear sir,
I have a question regarding admission into NUS's graduate LLB programme 2009. I have a Bachelor of Arts (1st class hons) from the university of Hong Kong but rather weak Singapore GCE A'Level results. (I was admitted to HKU on the strengths of my O levels, sample papers written for Singapore GCE AO General Paper, admission essays, SAT scores, etc). I am also a Dean's list recipient, a recipient of the Japan Society of Hong Kong scholarship and am proficient in English (GP B3), Chinese (AO Chinese A2) and Japanese. May I know what are my chances of admission? Thank you.

Dear Sir,

I have applied to NUS for the Corp & Financial Services Law LLM for the year 09-10 and have submitted my documents.
I however have received a mail stating that my last semester transcripts need to be submitted by June 09 and also stating my application being incomplete.

Will I be considered for admission on the basis of my other documents since I believe NUS will declare the names of successful candidates by April 09?

Thank you in advance and look forward to your reply!

Dear Mr. Tan,

I have submitted the documents for an LLM at the National University of Singapore and would like to apply for the IBL program too.

Do I need to send all documents with the other application? (i.e recommendation letters, passport copy, transcript etc.)

Thankig you in advance,

Kind regards,

Yes, of course the English score is relevant to admission and scholarships. We look at the entire package - academic grades, extra-curricular activities, leadership, English score, work experience, academic references.

To all enquirers above:

It is more convenient if you direct enquiries directly (by the p.m. mode) to our email account.

On general enquiries for students graduating only in June or July 2009, what we will do is to assess your applications as we have received them. On that basis, we may offer you a conditional acceptance in April 2009, which is subject to your fulfilling certain requirements in your final examinations.

Best regards

Hi everyone.

Once the application period ends, when are the results going to be announced. I read somewhere that it will be in April, but I need to know if this is true or not, to know, first if I was accepted and to make the proper arraignments.

I wish to you a happy New Year.

To all applicants:

We aim to release results in the last week of March, leading to 1st April. Due to the high numbers, applicants will be informed by batches (by email notification) through the course of that week. Hence, please do not start worrying if your friends hear sooner than you do.
