SJD or PhD????

Hello every one!

I graduated with an LLM degree from a U.S. school. I am thinking to continue my education to get the doctor degree. However, I am really lost and I don’t know what to do should I apply for SJD or PhD? And which one is better for someone is planning to teach in the university? And if I apply for PhD is there additional requirements since my LL.M from a U.S school where I did not require doing a dissertation?

I will appreciate any information?

Thanks

Since you are holding LL.M from a US Law School, you may considering joining a "Faculty Fellowship" program to meet your objective. The SJD/JSD can be pursued simultaneously.
