Recommendation Letter

Hello, I have a question about the recommendation letter for the LLM programs in England. As I am an Austrian student my professors will probably write it in German. But I think it has to be in English, right? Should I encourage my professor to write in English or are German recommendation letters also ok?

Thanks for your help!

I am not sure if english universities would accept or even read a german recommandation letter. You could offer your professor to translate his german recommandation and then let him sign the english version.

As far that I know, universities in UK dont entertain any documents in a language other than english unless it's accompanied by an authorised translation. I guess you'll have to send in the original along with a translated copy in english signed and sealed by your professor. This applies to transcripts, degree certificates etc.
