malayika: Bar Exam in France

Hello people,

I heard that if you are admitted to practice law in the United States, and you had completed D.E.A. in France but never took the Bar there (pas d'Ecole d'Avocats), you still can take an exam (Article 100?) and be admitted to practice in France. Is that true? Can anyone give me more details about the procedure to follow?

Thanks

Also, I forgot to ask if French/EU citizenship is required to be admitted to practice law in France?

If you are a non EU national, you have to justify that your country has a reciprocity with France (ie a French national may be sit for the bar exam in your country of origin)
