I am a lawyer, having graduated from India, with three years of work experience . I have recently moved base to Dubai and am keen to do a LL.M from a UK based university. However the current economic scenerio together with familly commitments doesnot allow me to persue a masters degree full time from UK.
I would like to know if an online LL.M degree from UK either in environmental law or intellectual property rights holds the same value as a full time LL.M degree and what are the chances of making a breakthrough in the job market in UK or Dubai after the online LL.M qualification?

As an Associate Director of a big 6 international tax department, my time was overwhelmed due to hectic schedule, work load and personal responsibilities. Looking to impact my career and practice, I uncovered the solution and escape of online executive training with its international client development opportunities.

You may follow along to discover how valuable an executive LLM and PhD in Financial Services will speed your career, let’s see how quickly you realize just how exciting it is that you can use this game changer when you engage with your colleagues and client opportunities.

While you recognize for your own reasons how powerful the LLM and PhD is for opening work and client opportunities, I just want to point out how enjoyable learning is with online professional groups and lectures, and that it is not necessary to grow even more enthusiastic about how exciting the online networking opportunity may be to picking up work.

Several years ago the Diamonds were benefactors of the program Walter H. & Dorothy B. Diamond International Tax & Financial Services program (started in 1998). Walter (deceased this past year at age 95) and Dorothy Diamond, his surviving wife, authored many publications since 1950, including Tax Havens of the World and Foreign Tax & Trade Briefs.

As you naturally realize just how exciting this opportunity is it is not necessary to get even more enthusiastic about how wonderful it is to learn that Dorothy Diamond has made available scholarships, each for $1,000 per course, for students with high academic achievement or government officials from developing countries, so far from India, Tanzania, Afghanistan, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Bangledesh, China, and Brazil. The scholarship also carries with the potential for publication credit in the various Diamond program publications for the major publishers. The scholarships begin summer semester and continue as long as the student is enrolled, increasing to $1,150 per course.

Feeling a growing desire to learn more you are free to ask any questions and explore how you can join the executive orientation lectures this summer.

Enthusiastically yours

If you are interested in an LLM by distance in IP, you want to ensure that you choose a school that has a great reputation in the area as well. If looking in the UK, you should check out Edinburgh University. The IP Distance programme tracks closely with the taught programme and in the end your degree will be from a top UK university. It will be hard work but by distance you will be able to space out the time commitments. You can follow this link for more information.

Best of luck!
