Admission GPA/Schools offering LLM in IP in USA for non-lawyers
Hi guys.Tue Feb 03, 2009 01:52 AM I just graduated and have an Engineering Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill in Canada and am currrently looking out for schools offering LLM in IP for non-lawyers in the US as I haven't seen Canadian schools offering such a program for non-lawyers. My question mostly centers around my application credentials. I have a low GPA (a bit below 3.0) but I have internsihp experience working as an Engineering Consulting Intern and Tech Administraiton Research Assistant in Asia. Before discovering this website and therefore the search engine for finding more schools offering LLM in IP, the schools I have been looking into include Franklin Pierce Law Center and University of Leeds. I've heard from the Admission Office from University of Leeds that they need GPA of 3.3 from my school, but in reality my GPA falls short in this aspect. So I assume my chance of getting admitted will be hurt by this. As far as GPA goes, since I have already graduated so improving it by taking more courses will seem unikely. Can you offer me any advice on getting into an LLM-IP program? Also, can you advise me what other schools I can look into and may be better match in terms of admission's GPA? Thanks in advance. |
