@Sophia

I have made my challenge public...tell 2009 or sorry Kobayashi to take it up.....this includes the noble franciscan and any other monicker...I won't put it past him to re-register and search for proof rather than taking up the challenge...

We should write a tv script based on this thread!

Trinker (an LLM-Guide newbie) said that he was accepted by Yale. 2009 said that she knows that some people had been accepted, Destiny09 claims that 2009 doesn't exist, but Kobayashi, a last year applicant stated that his wife is 2009, and Fransiskaner (an old user) said that he knows 2009, so, if 2009 doesn’t exist, neither Fransiskaner and, we have a great plot (or complot)!

What a relief that I am not applying to Yale (although I think is the best law schools, I don’t have any chance), but I think that all of us need to smoke, and not tobacco ;)

Cheers and good luck!

Jenny we can keep the plot in suspense as we wait for Kobayashi, 2009 and the noble Franciscan to take up Destiny's challenge.

To clarify the dabate about "loser" and "early winners", I called both NYU and Yale. Yale said no decision has been made and all decisions will be made by mid-March; while NYU said decisions are being released on a daily basis!!!

Destiny you were right as I assumed ;) Now we know that Kobayashi, 2009 and Franciscan are just trying to mess with us.

Well, my “theory” was right: The people that has been posting here were not lying:

User “2009” posted that Yale has started to release notices.
Kobayashi claimed that 2009 is his wife

I check a tread of March 2008 were Kobayashi posted that he was accepted by Yale, and Harvard, but he will choose Yale (late congrats Kobayashi!)

So, at least someone was planning a joke for more than one year, Kobayashi exist, is studying at Yale, and his wife, 2009, is posting here.

So, wish you good luck to all of you!!!

That was my old theory, but, due to the new discoveries, it seems that all the abovemnetioned people were the same, and he/she was tricking us (maybe that's the reason of one of his names: "tricker")

Jenny...Kobayashi's (or 2009 or the Noble Franciscan) mistake was to come out and support 2009. BTW the posts you referred to last year showed that Kobayashi joined right at the time others were announcing they're Yalies...then he lied when he was caught out by L&E (March 10) that he had erased his name and came back again (March 12)....down the line he became the first to be admitted to SLS without an interview...then he changed again to support this theory but could've been caught out by s/one who got the call but wondering....just to say anyway...the guy is a loser...whose documents are always been misplaced by schools...and he never did answer questions on financial aids...so don't be surprised about posters not applying for aids...always dodging and as you can see Kobayashi...has been hanging around here for a long time...lets put this thread to rest...good luck

sorry to point out that tricker is really Italian, as he wrote me a private messagge in our native language. that said, I don't know who to trust anymore. Perhaps Yale just replied in a general way...besides, it's so sad to me to waste your own writing fake posts that I wouldn't consider anybody a liar before proven it...hope to hear soon from Yale, and I promise I won't lie, either admitted or (with higher probabilities) rejected

Folks;

My wife was admitted to Yale. My guess for the other Brazilian would be Franciscan, as they usually admit two from Brazil and, honestly, he is the best candidate I know there.

I asked around, and I don't believe the Italian guy. There is someone in China and a girl from Madrid who got offers, but I don't believe they called 15 until past Monday.

For those who are anxious, here's my advice. They are not going to tell you if you were admitted if you call. I couldn't know about my wife even being here.

I think they are going to be done with the offers by the end of the week (unless they fail to reach someone by phone, and in that case you usually receive an email saying that your phone does not work). If you don't got an offer by Saturday, you probably are in one of two categories:

- You were rejected. There are 400 applicants this year for 28 seats maximum, so this is the most likely result.

- You are in the waiting list. Every year something around 15 people stay in this list. It is very unlikely you are going to receive an offer, as people hardly turn down Yale. But you have a strong case to consider applying next year, and I heard about some people that eventually got admitted.

Sorry to not join the "conspiracy theory' - I'm not going to wast my time answering silly challenges. This is a valuable forum, so please don't blow it.

I wish luck for you in the other announcements - Harvard haven't started to release decisions, as so Stanford, and NYU just sent some few acceptances.

For the final time...let's put this to rest...your wife was admitted this year, you were admitted last year (after declining SLS) and now Franciscan is to be admitted...but you won't take up the challenge, man, go to bed and make sure you're LYING down...

KARALEEEEEEO!!! Did you really get in??!?!?!

I'm so happy for you!!!!!!! Congratulations 1000x!

The sad thing is that your acceptance makes my chances of being admitted dimmer and dimmer...

I know at least 2 other Brazilian guys with very strong credentials who appl. to YLS, both wrkn' in Brasília too. One of them was admitted into CLS, but is waiting for sth better.

And remember, 2009: sometimes a breeze turns into a storm!

Destiny,

Do not be jealous! Thanks baby for your message! I love you!

Good luck for everybody.

As soon as I have received an email from YLS, I will post it here.

Best,

"Trust me, they will catch you for wire fraud under Amercian Law, it is easy to trace you from the ISP. You can also be sued for misrepresentation."

Ironically, out of all the posts on this topic, this was the winner. I admit it's a sleeper, in that the thread proudly stars a pointlessly elaborate hoax (you can con this board with far less effort), but this post's sheer, unabashed legal inaccuracy gives it the gold, in my books.

Bravissimo!
