hello people from WCL..

i have got admission at WCL for my LLM, i need information about getting jobs after i end my master how easy or difficult is for me?). I need this information cos I am planning to
apply for a loan and so to know if it is worth taking a loan and studying in WCL coz at the end of the year I need to get a job inorder to repay my loan.

I have also got thru Northwestern Unievrsity, but as Northwestern Unievrsity is very expensive than WCL I am planning to
choose WCL...so i want to know more abt teh job prospects in WCL and also know which is better.

I really have no idea what WCL is. I will say though that Northwestern is one of the top 10 law schools in America, and you'd probably have better job prospects from there. It's also a very chill place (I just finished the JD program there)

American University has a top notch reputation for international law, which is what you would be doing your LL.M. in. In this area, AU is regarded far above Northwestern. If you are concerned with rankings, look at the US News rankings of the top International Law programs. American University is ranked in the top 5, along with NYU, Columbia, Harvard, Yale and Georgetown.

Northwestern does have an outstanding JD program, and accordingly it gets ranked quite high in the US News & World Report general law school rankings (You have to keep in mind that those rankings pertain to the JD programs only). I do not know much about Northwestern's LL.M. program.

In terms of job prospects, the job market is quite poor. I am not sure if you are an international student, however, if so it will be that much more difficult to find a position in the US, regardless of the LL.M. program you select. With that said, however, it would be a lot easier for you to find an internship, which may lead to a job, in Washington, DC, than Evanston, IL, or Chicago, simply because you would be in the capital of the US which offers a plethora of opportunities.
