Inquiring about LLM in USA
Dear Sir / Madam,Sun Jun 19, 2005 04:02 PM I am inquiring about an L.L.M degree program in USA. I am an American citizen with Pakistani decadency. I am attending a law school in Pakistan and will soon get my L.L.B degree from there. I am very confused at the moment, weather I will be to practice law in USA or not, If I get accepted into an LLM program, which states will allow to sit in the bar exam. Do I have to get JD first. Please help me with these questions. What can I really do if have L.L.B from Pakistan and get accepeted here into an L.L.M program. Thanks, Syed J. I was looking for answers to similar questions and found them on the discussion board titled 'do foreign lawyers need an LLM degree. It is quite informative discussion. Good luck.
