Go for JD if you are very wealthy ! If you work very hard you will find a job.
But joining a JD in prestigious Law schools is VERY difficult.
Some have very limited exchange program that MAY allow you to undergo only 2 years of JD instead of 3 regarding your academic performance.

I am french too, 21, and unfortunately i did not qualify for JD so i am going to attend LLM and take the bar exam at the end of the year.

LLM is easier for foreigner. A LOT. even in good Law school ! However you are to young to be selected in HAVARD , COLUMBIA or NYU.

A friend of mine - french 20 like you- with outstanding academic record ( 14,5 moyenne generale depuis tjs + excellent niveau d'anglais Juridique) was rejected. Why ?
mainly because : too young + No DESS/ DEA.

Goood luck on your search !!!
