hello, I 've written the same topic in the discussion board relating to llm in UK but i haven't answer :-( Maybe, I'd be more fortunate here:

I'm french, I received my master degree in business law from the university of Versailles St-Quentin and my postgraduate diploma in foreign trade law (dess) from Pantheon-Sorbonne (Paris I). I'm interested by the LLM "international and comparative law" at Notre Dame University (the LLM is located at London but it's an american university in Indiana, tha's why it's less expensive than US llm).

Is it a good LLM with a strong academic reputation? Does it allow to present the new-york bar exam? (on the website, they just say that the llm is accredited by the american bar association) Concerning this LLM, Is it difficult to be an eligible candidate? What kind of criterion did they use to select? Concerning the toefl, How many points are required?

All information relating to this llm are welcome!

Thx,

Best regards,

Bertrand

Same concern, same profile. Does this LLM in London open the gates of the NY Bar?

No it doesn't if you don't have ur 1st degree from and University in which is in a common law country. I've enquired myself. Their curriculum is not comprehensive enough to cover all the subjects required by the NY Board of Law examiners.
If you have decent marks, u can still apply to a State University (as opposed to the top 10) and get a full scholarship and do ur LLM without paying the tuition fees.

Hi,

I have been admitted in New York and I am in the process of completing my training contract. My aim would be to work in a large multi national firm internationally once I qualify as a Solicitor.
The LLM in Notre Dame London looks good i.e. not expensive and you receive a LLM from a good US School.
Has any one actually completed this Master" ? and was it worth while?.

Thanks,
Andy

I don't know about the LLM program but the university Notre Dame itself is very well-known in US.
