Thu Jun 04, 2009 04:12 PM Hi guys, I want to defer for a year from my current admit (reason: bad economy at home and in the US) but I also want to try applying to better schools next year. My question is, would my reason to defer be acceptable? And how do I schools know if I apply elsewhere? Thanks

I got into Penn for International Law but I want to defer and try my luck with NYU, Columbia and GULC next year. How does Penn know if I do that? Also, is Columbia a good school for International Law?
