Dear all:

Wow!!! I am so glad that I meet my juniors from Thammasat University at this board.

While I understand that choosing a law school for your Master Degree is a critical decision, please let me use this board to share my unforgettably wonderful experience at Vanderbilt Law School.

Although I have attended many legal programs at many law schools such as UC-Davis, Harvard, and Northwestern, I must honestly say that Vanderbilt Law School is my most favorite law school. The LL.M. at Vandy is relatively small, providing me several meaningful experiences. The atmosphere at the law school is incredibly nice, and people in Vandy legal community are very friendly.

Surely, I am also very impressed with my research advisor as well as other professors, who strengthen and broaden my knowledge. They all were willing to help me and to make my LL.M. studies productive. Moreover, I did learn a lot from JD students as well as other LL.M. students. I can confidently say that the LL.M. at Vandy is the most rewarding program I have ever taken in my education.

Hey everyone! It is nice to have a small group of ppl from Thailand in this webboard.

Regard to Sudkhet's idea, I think most of Thai students who study two LL.M. will impress the first LL.M. more than the second one. For me, I just love Georgia more than Indiana. 555

However, I will pursue another LL.M. in somewhere in the US. Sudkhet, I might go to NWU and make an interview with the Univ. I will contact you later 5555.

Hi all,
I am actually here for quite a while but just seeing all of you in this thread, so nice to meeting you all. I am an Econ Grad from Thammasat too.

I am currently studying LL.M., but more with Inter Business and China oriented. I am not sure what should I do with this degree since I think that I made a wrong decision- the program and my classmates is not that productive :-(

But as I am the Econ Grad, and I used to do something before starting this LL.M., I am not sure if in the future I will make another Biz degree or continue with law- such as comparative law, financial or another Chinese topics since I guess that it will be very much useful in the future.

Maybe you can share your idea, how should I plan my study in order to get the good job in Thailand (well, I am 26 now), or any reccommendation of doing another in the US (I am looking at U of Virginia), and in which topic (since financial law is also one of my interest as well).

One of my respectively Prof. at Thammasat is also from Vanderbilt. If Khun Sudkhet said so, I will probably trying to find a way there...whether in Biz or in Law, I am not sure.

Dear all:

It is nice that you guys frankly share your opinions and experiences at this board. To answer Khun Prakit, although I do not plan to take any bar exam in the States, I am happy and curious to learn more and more about the US law. I wholeheartedly agree with you that not all legal programs in this country are useful and helpful for your future career. In any event, I do wish Khun Prakit the best for your decision as to whether or not to pursue another degree.

To be clear, Vandy LL.M. is not the first program that I take. Therefore, it might not be quite right that I like Vandy the most only because it is my first impression of US law school. To be specific about my preference of Vandy over other law schools, I personally like the unique curriculum at the law school. To my knowledge, Vandy is only a few law schools in this country that provide LL.M. students to work closely with faculty members on their own chosen-topic "substantial" research. Moreover, I do like non-competitive but intellectually encouraging atmosphere at the law school. Plus, the number of LL.M. students in my year is only 13. Needless to say, the Vandy small program is certainly more advantageous than other bigger programs that I have ever taken.

Last but not least, the most uniqueness of Vandy community is that people at the law school including LL.M. students live together as if we all were a family.

I would like to share some info. regarding the admission requirements. Now I'm facing some difficulties to apply to the Univs. There are many complicated rules about the admission.
