KCL- visa letters & other stuff
Hi, I am a Mexican lawyer attending the LLM at KCL starting on September 2009. Prior to that I will attend the pre-sessional English Course starting on August 3, but have not received the visa letter or an offer for accomodation in one of the colleges. I am concerned for not receiving the visa letter to obtain the visa on time. Is there anyone in my same situation?

Yes, I have just received it on Friday 26! I think you will also receive it soon. Hopefully we will obtain the visa on time prior to the English course. Please note that I contacted the Student Adviser Team to speed up the process since I have heard nothing from the LLM Admissions Team.

Korb, Tue Jun 30, 2009 02:59 PM hope to see you on this coming 3 August. In the meantime, do you have a precise idea on the way how your/my visa application should be made? It is so confusing to me. Do we have to make the visa application twice (i.e. for 5 week pre-session course only and for LLM course once I have passed the pre-session course at the required level) ? I found none to clarify this point. Do you have any idea on how diificult it is to pass the pre-session course at 70% or above? [Edited by sixtop on 30 Jun 2009] |

Sixtop, the visa letter will cover both the pre-sessional course and the LLM period. Therefore, the visa should be granted for both courses at the same time. The visa letter establishes that it is an unconditional offer. Don't worry to much, I was in the same situation. @ Majda03: you do not need to pre-select your modules as you will have a "taster period" during your first week at KCL.
