Not really helpful i know but the lifestyle and standard of living is definitely higher in Melbourne/Sydney as compared to ANU. I think you should consider between Melbourne University and Sydney University as these two universities have a large range of courses. This is assuming cost isn't an issue (ANU is cheaper than Syd and Melb). Have a look at their course list and see which university has courses which interest you more.
